An anchor channel is usually installed or cast in concrete. This rail has rear anchors for anchoring in the concrete. This system includes special screws, which are called hammer-head screws or hook-head screws because of their shape. These can be moved along the rail and thus make various adjustments possible.

Application examples include the fastening of ventilation ducts and pipes.
