In this category you will find cast (Art. 580) as well as forged (DIN 580) eyebolts. The cast version has a smooth and polished surface which makes it more popular when it comes to optics. In addition, the cast eyebolt can be manufactured at a much lower price.

The forged version fully withstands the loads required by DIN, whereas the cast eyebolts here only almost meet the values required by DIN. Therefore, the use of the cast variant (Art. 580) is prohibited in safety-relevant areas!

Forged eyebolts according to DIN 580 are primarily used as load-bearing devices for permanent fastening to components such as motors, switch cabinets and gears, so that these can be transported.
